Rating Windows Phone growth in market share in the United Kingdom and Italy

A consumer report Kantar Worldpanel ComTech research firm shows that Windows Phone has been a significant increase in market share in Europe, particularly in Italy and the UK.
In other major European markets, Microsoft has also made, but the incremental growth. In France and Spain, Windows Phone has registered an increase in its market share from 3.7% to 4.1% and 0.4% to 1.8%, respectively. However, in Germany, the mobile operating system represents a slight decrease of 3.0% to 2.6%.
Nokia, in particular, is experiencing an increase in sales of its Smartphones Lumia. Its social Smartphone sales amounted to 6.2% (35% to 32% for Samsung and Apple), which is 50% more than what the company has managed to sell in 2011.
According to Dominic Sunnebo, Kantar Worldpanel ComTech Global Consumer insight director, the jump in market share in Europe of the WP is great, but 2013 will be a much bigger challenge in front of the Chinese and U.S. markets.
It was much slower than Microsoft would have liked, but Windows Phone is starting to gain share respectable in several major European countries. However, their performance in the Chinese and U.S. markets remain disappointing. While the two major markets of Smartphones in the world, there are still challenges to be overcome for Microsoft in 2013.

In fact, Windows Phone is not far behind BlackBerry in the UK, where the market share of RIM fell from 16.0% to only 6.4% in a single year. We'll have to wait and see if Microsoft will be able to become the third largest Smartphone operating system popular in the UK this year. We are still to see what RIM has in store for us this year, the press conference is scheduled for January 30.
